About Us

Kidd’s Beach is a small coastal resort town in the Eastern Cape, South Africa situated on the Mkhanzi River about 28 kilometer’s from East London, South Africa. The name “Mkhanzi” is derived from the Xhosa word “umkhanzi”, which means “bulrush”, or Typha capensis.

Established in 1911, Kidd’s Beach Primary School has long been a home to critical thinking, progressive education, and a conscientious community. This government public school is a non-profit school while committed to pushing positive change and creating a caring world for everyone.

Prima Primum

Our school’s motto is “Prima Primum”

Placing God first in our need and deed.
Searching for the best in me.
I shall find what I can be.
Reaching for the goals to the best of my ability.
We’re the children of the
Kidd’s Beach Primary School.
